Welcome to the end of another month of Mice Tea development, as well as the end of another year of development!

In fact, 2022 will be the last full year of us working on Mice Tea. We are planning to finally reach 1.0 in the first half of 2023, and we're so happy you've accompanied us during the time we've made this visual novel. We very literally could not have done it without your support.

Since we're approaching the end of development, that means we've been hitting a lot of benchmarks recently. The latest is one of the most exciting, and we're going to feature it first on this month's progress recap.

New Music - The Soundtrack is Complete!

We've had every track in Mice Tea for a while now, but we have finally reached soundtrack completion in this month's update! Our composer Will has taken the time to remaster many of the games track to sound crisper, fuller, and just more polished. Some of the most dramatic differences are found in Gavin's theme, "Notes of Sweetness," and in the heist getaway track (*deep breath*) "Oh My God Julie, This Is the Last Time I Let You Talk Me Into This, for Real, I Mean It."

If you'd like, you could even keep your last download and compare it to the new versions, or you could just vibe out in the Music menu in our Extras section and listen to the whole thing. Or you could listen to the entire soundtrack as it appears on our YouTube page.

Will has been a part of our team for a long time now, and has done a great job of helping differentiating our game with his amazing compositions! We'd like to thank him so much, and please keep an eye out for the opportunity to buy the soundtrack on its own!

New Art from The Transformistress - Two New CGs, and Shaded CGs

Just as last month's work was Julie-focused, this month has a Felicia bend to it. First is the completion of a sketch that's remained in the game for years at this point: the hugging and petting illustration that appears on day 3 of Felicia's path. Even in its unfinished form, it's been a favorite of people who love seeing cat girls getting attention, and the completed version has a lot of cute and sexy versions that take it over the top.

Next up is a completely new CG that appears on Day 4, when a certain cadre of new customers take interest in Barlow's Books. There's some amazing facial expressions in this one that show off both Felicia's and Margaret's feelings about the newfound attention.

There's also polish work on both the Tea Bath in Gavin's Route and Ayala's appearance in the camgirl short end. It's another productive month by The Transformistress, and one we're sure you'll enjoy.

New Art from KDhynamo - Sprites, Sprites, Sprites! And Tail Growth

KD continues to churn through the NPC sprites in the game, and has gotten through another big batch this month, including several cameo sprites! He even got to dust off his old love of drawing fantasy armor for one of the sprites. Why would fantasy armor appear in our game about a bookstore in modern-day New England? You'll have to play to find out!

(Actually you probably already know.)

KD has also drawn the second nude sprite in the game, after Margaret's small mouse form. It depicts Gavin, and appears in the Felicia path epilogue before a certain intimate scene. You know the one... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Finally we've got an additional TF insert panel that appears early in the Felicia path. When Margaret's tail frees itself from Margaret's pants, the reveal was a bit underwhelming. We've rectified this by adding a panel showing Margaret's tail bursting out in all it's denim-ripping, panty-revealing glory!

We've also got new sound effects, new expression edits, and a bunch of tweaks to improve and polish the game as we head into the home stretch.
